All Cars In Use

MOE is about to be a part of my daughters wedding this Saturday, the ex white estate of mine is to take me and the blushing bride, and MOE gets to take the bridesmaid and the brides mother. It's nice for fellow Club Triumph members to help out, our meetings, (now twice a month for the summer) are becoming real family affairs, we are getting about 8 ladies amongst the 40 or so regular attendees.

The Courier passed the MOT yesterday, I think it will need a clutch soon, it is getting ready for lots of new chrome recently acquired.

Tuesday (name for the Mk2) is being taxed tomorrow and I am looking forward to driving her for the first time on the roads.

I have just insured with Peter James instead of another well known classic insurer, mainly due to price, they quoted £181 for the two cars, where Peter James quoted £131 for three with a total agreed value in excess of £12K always willing to save money, this price even includes breakdown and recovery!

Drive your Classic Day 26 April 2009

Crich tramway museum was the venue on Suday the 19th April, some 10 cars set off for a fairly uneventful drive which ended in a flourish of twisty Lanes and steep climbs. It was nice to have Peter Fern join us from Luton, Peter or Ferny as he is known, is the Club Triumph Local Groups Co-Ordinator.

On Tuesday evening the first of our third tuesday summer meetings which was held at the Nautical Club in Birmingham City. An interesting place full of nautical history and artifacts, 20 members enjoyed the buffet which was excellent.

This Sunday 26th April, sees us off to the TSSC headquarters on what is known as Drive Your Classic Day we leave the Drakes Drum at 10am meeting with others at Sainsburys petrol station, Castle Vale, at around 10.20 you are welcome to join us.
